Happy New Year One and all!!!
As I look out of the window this morning and see the snow on the ground, I look back over my year and ponder as to whether it lived up to my expectations? It began with such hope as all New Years do - I knew that THIS year would be the year I would get slim - would be a better person - would see a better world - you know how it is...
and you know, in a way, it's exactly what DID happen. I grew up and realized that I am OK as I am, and as long as I project over a whole year, I won't ever change anything. You see I have to keep it in the day, today!!! Today I can make a small change, I CAN make a difference, and it's all the small chages that lead to a bigger one in me and in the circumstances thsat surround me. I can't change others and their actions, but I can change MY RE-actions to their actions. Things needn't be the same for the rest of my life. So as the clock moves around to midnight once more I realize that's all it is. A clock...a moment in time.....
